I am Chief Emoji & Gif Officer. I set a good example to all of my colleagues by spending 95% of my day posting gifs and emojis in Slack. I also like to stand around whiteboards pretentiously pointing my fingers at lines and arrows whilst stroking my chin. When no-one is looking, I sometimes even try to write a bit of code.
I want to talk about expert techniques for posting gifs and emojis in Slack but that talk didn’t get accepted (if you want to hear that talk there is still time for you to pressure the organisers). Instead I will be talking about Sociotechnical Architecture patterns. What do I mean by Sociotechnical Architecture patterns, though? If you like a mix of organisation design, software architecture, and understanding how to create autonomous teams in highly-connected agile organisations, this talk will get you excited.
If someone dressed as a giant ‘smiling face with heart eyes’ emoji comes in and gives me a big hug.
If they send me lots of tweets using only emojis and gifs.
I love the beautiful sound of French people speaking in their elegant accent, especially people from Paris.
The poop emoji.
The ‘rolling on the floor laughing’ emoji
The ‘smiling cat face with heart eyes’ emoji
In an elegant French voice: « Nick. Je suis ton père ».
